Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you start.
What is the difference between ROI and ROAS?
ROI measures profit as a percentage of what you spent: (revenue − spend) ÷ spend × 100. ROAS measures the revenue multiple only: revenue ÷ spend. A campaign can have a healthy ROAS and still be unprofitable once product and overhead costs are counted, so read both.
What is a good ROI?
It depends on your margins and risk. A useful rule is that a campaign should return more than your cost of capital plus the effort — for most small businesses, anything below roughly 3x ROAS on paid ads is thin once costs are subtracted.
How do I improve ROI?
Raise revenue per visitor (a better offer, a higher price) or cut spend that does not convert. Improving conversion rate usually beats increasing the budget, because it lifts revenue without adding cost.
