Frequently asked questions

Quick answers before you start.

What does the Ask AI widget do?

It puts four buttons on your website — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Grok. When a visitor clicks one, the assistant opens in a new tab with a ready-made question: 'How will {your business} ({your domain}) help me grow my business?' The AI answers with what you do and why it matters. No account, no API key, nothing for the visitor to configure.

How do I set it up for my business?

Open the tool page, copy the one-line iframe, and paste it anywhere on your site — WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or plain HTML. The widget detects your business automatically from your website's domain, so there's nothing to configure.

Do visitors need an account or API key?

No. Visitors click a button and the assistant opens in a new tab with the question pre-filled. If they already have an account with that assistant, it just works — and if they don't, most assistants let you ask a question without signing up.

Is the Ask AI widget free to embed?

Yes. Like every Plainso tool it's free to use and free to embed, with a small 'Powered by Plainso' link. The widget theme follows your visitor's system theme, or you can pin it with ?theme=light or ?theme=dark in the embed URL.
