How to add a calculator to Squarespace

Squarespace's Code Block takes raw HTML, which is precisely what an iframe snippet is. Add one to any page, paste the code, and the calculator appears — no extra plan upgrade needed.

Step by step

1

Copy the embed snippet

Open the calculator you want and copy the one-line iframe code from its embed section.

2

Edit the page and add a Code Block

Open the page in the editor, click Add Block where the calculator should sit, and choose Code from the block list.

3

Paste the iframe

Paste the snippet into the Code Block. Leave the block's display setting on its default.

4

Apply and save

Click Apply, then Save the page. The calculator is live for visitors.

Good tools to embed on Squarespace

Good to know

  • Use a Code Block for an iframe — an Embed Block is for pasting a single media URL, not raw HTML.
  • Code Blocks work on every Squarespace plan; only site-wide code injection requires a Business plan or higher.
  • Drag the block's bottom handle to give it enough height so the calculator isn't cut off.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers before you start.

Which Squarespace block should I use for a calculator?

A Code Block. It accepts raw HTML, so the iframe snippet goes in as-is. An Embed Block expects a plain URL and won't render the calculator.

Do I need a Business plan for a Code Block?

No. Code Blocks are available on all Squarespace plans. Only header/footer code injection and advanced scripts are limited to higher plans.

Can I add the calculator to a blog post?

Yes. The same Code Block is available in the post editor, so you can drop a calculator into any blog post alongside your text.
